Jim's MVM stepper pulley all the way!
hello
i've been on this board for awhile now as well as honda-tech and i've seen many different upgrade pullies mentioned. i will be in the market for one soon, and would like a recommendation from you guys as to which one to get. these are the ones that i know of, let me know if i forgot any:
-jims MVM
-endyn (i've heard mixed reviews)
-jackson racing (tendancy to slip)
-crv (overdrives alternator)
-LHT 5-rib pulley
my setup is a B16A. i am not running the GM 3 bar map or anything like that, so i need to stay within the limits of the stock map sensor. it seems to vary as to what these limits are from everything i've heard. i will be planning on using the LHT intercooler as well, and john has informed me that there is a nominal 1psi drop in pressure. so ideally i would like a pulley that will yield 10psi so that after the intercooler its closer to 9psi.
clif notes: what pulley will give me 10psi on a B16A setup?

from all of the good things that i've heard about your pulley, i'm tempted to buy it. however i found an email convo we had awhile ago and it said that your pulley would add 2.5-3 psi to my current setup. does this still hold true? also if i got the pulley and it didnt meet my expectations (as far as boost level is concerned - i'm not doubting the quality of it), what is your return policy?

Dunno what your setup is, but it solidly raises boost to 9psi on my setup (95 GSR). Jim's pulley is TOP quality. I purchased an Endyn pulley that DID NOT FIT. Jim's pulley was the answer.

I never sell the pulley based on a specific "boost" goal... truthfully, there are so many variables that can make a difference, I would be a fool to do so. In any case, you were correct in stating that most applications see a 2.5-3.0 psi increase in boost pressure.
As for my return policy... if there is a defect or failure in the product, I will replace it. I do not offer a performance guarantee... (meaning that if the "boost" pressure is not exactly what you were looking for numerically)... no manufacturer in the aftermarket field does.
Just curious how much is your pulley and belts? I want to buy it but currently broke [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]
jim i understand where you're coming from as far as the business aspect is concerned. i plan on getting myself one of your pullies. i'm confident that its what i'm looking for.

Yes, the pulley alone is $150.00 and the pulley kit (which includes the proper belt for your application) is $170.00.
Out of curiosity, does anyone have the WEBSITE addy to ENDYN ??? I have heard about some pulleys available for some other applications that I will explore (you veterans here know why).
